The keynote address was delivered by Dr Fachrizal Afandi on the topic ‘Rushed Codification? The Paradox of Indonesia’s Criminal Law Reform’. The co-chairs of the ALSA Criminal Law Chapter, Professors Mrinal Satish and Andreas Schloenhardt, expressed their sincere thanks to Dr Afandi as well as Professor Widodo, the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, and Professor Dr Gugus Irianto, Director of UB’s Jakarta campus, for their welcoming remarks and for their generous support and hospitality.
